Radiator tested ok. oil cooler tested ok. block checked and rebuilt twice this year by a precision engineer who has done dozens and dozens of these engines cant find a problem or hole anywhere. ok.65 ford 5000 steering problems. This tractor has power assist steering. It turns left fine. Very hard to turn to the right. It blew a hose so I replaced with new hoses. Had cylinder rebuilt and control valve although I feel the guy was somewhat unsure about the control valve. Turns fine with the two front tires off the ground.Check the front axle for wear in the king pins and joints. Check the 3 pt lift goes up and down smoothly. Check the clutch works properly ( try pulling away in 7th or 8t) on the flat) and test the brakes. If it has a bubble cab then rust could be a real issue. Tyres are expensive.
