We reset the computer on the Jeep by dis-connecting both batteries and waiting 20 minutes. The jeep would then go into gear, but the check engine light stayed on. We took it to the local dealership and they put it on the computer and it had thrown a bunch of codes from the low battery, they reset it and we should not have any more problems.Location Multiple places.. @JayInNC No question to it.... if your JL is starting on the 2nd try then the Aux battery hass reached the end of it's life cycle / is dead and needs to be replaced.. It is not the alternator.. Good news..... Your 2018 JL is behaving like a 2019-2021 JL.... it would not be exhibiting this behavior if not for sometime in the past it has had TSB 18-092-19 (Power Control Update) applied to it..So I walk up to a JL with both batteries drained and connect my jumper leads to the Main battery. The power applied to the Main battery to crank the starter will also be charging the Main battery at the same time.
