Come to find out, the center cylinder oil injection line (from what I believe) was completely plugged up and the center cylinder blew a ring. Anyways, I'm rebuilding the entire engine.A local Mercury mechanic that I trust (and I don't trust many) said that the possibility of the oil injection pump failing is very low because he just hasn't seen any or heard of any failures. He said that he has seen the oil injection lines get brittle and start to leak and recommends replacing those since my engine is 14 yrs old now.I want to delete the oil injection and I see where several have installed a kit on this forum but do not know where to order.
