National society collegiate scholars scam
I got a letter in the mail saying that I have been nominated to join the Rutgers chapter of the national society of collegiate scholars. The letter had the names and emails of the executive board of the rutgers chapter. It said I was nominated due to my academic success at Rutgers. All it says I have to do is pay a one time $92 fee or something ...If not, dont waste your money. The only thing great about it, is that I can get membership discount at Brooks Brother. I obviously have no source or any experience in admissions anywhere, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Scam. I have been getting this email for 3 years and counting! It’s a scam to just buy your way into saying you’re in national society. It’s a scam. Even average students get an invitation saying they had a “high GPA”. Funny thing is dumbasses put this on their resume and linkedin lol. It's a scam. If it costs money and advertises "prestige", then it's probably a scam/doesn't help with acceptance. It won't give you a scholarship just for joining, but they offer scholarship opportunities.
