What you see on the Luger mag base is a suffix letter to the serial number and it does appear that it's a b. The magazine is not matched to your Luger which is not at all unusual and will not detract from it's value. Note on the frame under the serial number that there is also a letter. The 5 digit serial number and crown B/U proofs would indicate a commercial P08 frame and receiver.HEY_LT, as far as the eagles on the holsters are concerned: both are police acceptance markings. The first eagle has an "B" in the center. eagle/Letter combinations were only used by the police. A matching Sauer 38/H would have an eagle/C or eagle/F.
