You basically start with 3 reps in reserve and work up to 1 RIR over a 6 wk mesocycle then do a deload wk (at least for the novice routines, the advanced may have less accumulation wks, not sure.)However, I've been lifting for 4-5 years. I'm not putting more weight on the bar each week, but I run a periodization scheme that has me lifting "more" on each set than I was the week before. I'd call that adding weight. My point above is simply what anyone who has put any time in lifting knows, quality sets are more important than volume alone.
