With 25%+ being accepted out of state there are many parents in the SDSU parent FB page that are complaining and/or really struggling to pay for college. I think we ALL understand that every one of the CA kids can’t get in to the most competitive CA schools… But it’s also understandably frustrating when you pay California taxes (which are pretty darn high) for decades, and then your 4.2W (3.89 UW) kid, with a year and a half of college complete, doesn’t get into any of our top 3 state schools …<p>You could apply but to be honest with you a 2.71 GPA is unlikely to lead to acceptance at SDSU if you are not in their service area. With the cutbacks in enrollment the CSUs have had to make, competition for the relatively few seats available has become very intense generally and as an impacted CSU, particularly fierce at SDSU.
