Hexes are op af. Most powerful hexes require souls but are worth it. 2K damage from climax and dark orb can carry you through the entire game. The Crypt Blacksword is one of the highest damaging weapons btw. and perfect for a herxer/strenght build. Alternatively, strenght builds are full op mode.Make sure you infuse everything with dark to get that scaling. Don't forget that dex doesn't scale as well with str, those points might be better used elsewhere. for example, i was running hex/dex with a dark blacksteel katana - moving dex from the req (20 i think) to 40 gave me an almighty extra 12 damage. 2.
