At 2:25 PM on 12/29, Kern County Fire responded to a reinforced rescue for a person who fell in to a septic tank. While enroute to the incident we received additional reports of a second person was involved in this incident. Specialized units from Kern County Fire Urban Search and Rescue and HazMat response team responded to this incident.ROSAMOND, Calif., On February 14th, 2024 at 1:22 p.m. Kern County firefighters responded to a report of a house on fire on Stagecoach Ln. Further reports stated that there was smoke and fire in a back bedroom. As Rosamond’s Engine 15 and Medic Squad 15 raced to the scene, their travel was impeded by flooding across the dirt roadway.While the Incident Commander completed his 360, Engineer 34 established a water supply, by connecting to a nearby fire hydrant, and Firefighter 34 pulled a hoseline to the front of the structure for fire attack. KCFD Engine 37 arrived on scene and was assigned to pull a second hoseline to assist with fire attack from the back part of the structure.The crew worked together to assist the patient and bystanders back up to the road safely. Once there, Hall Ambulance personnel assumed patient care. There were no injuries to Fire Service personnel. This was the second vehicle over a hillside that the Kern County Fire Department and Bakersfield Fire Department had responded to within 2.5 hours.
